-9 days to go...
Well, I was definitely disappointed when the official due date (Oct. 29) came and went and no sign of little Chloe! I've discovered that I can make it through anything (like long college semesters) as long as there is a definite end that I can look forward to. So when my "end" passed by...it was VERY difficult to accept. But, I have had a LOT to keep me busy since then.
Two weeks ago David and I were blessed with an offer to move into a large house rent-free in return for keeping up with the place! So instead of having our tiny, 2-room apartment to bring our daughter home to, we will be able to take her home to a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 2 living room, formal dining room, breakfast nook, kitchen, and 2-car garage HOUSE...where Chloe can have a room of her OWN! :-D
It's been a CRAZY last 2 weeks trying to get everything ready to live in and bring Chloe home to. But on top of being blessed with the house itself (on 4 acres by the way!) we are SUPER BLESSED by a wonderful family and great friends!! So many people chipped in that first week to help us paint, clean, move, organize, etc. etc. Our original goal was to get moved in by Thanksgiving, but after finding out about the house on Oct. 23rd, we ended up sleeping there our first night Oct. 30th. VERY fast!! But it's been amazing! My sisters have been over almost every single day - just painting, painting, painting. Moving through one room at a time, patching any little problems in the walls and covering up the yucky old paint with beautiful colors! :-) I have my own personal paint crew!!
The two coolest upgrades (to me) in this new house of ours is we have a DISHWASHER and a WASHING MACHINE!!!!! :-D I'm SUPER EXCITED about those things!
So on Friday (Nov. 5) we had our last Dr's appointment. I was 41 weeks along at that point. Our doctor said that she would let us go as late as Monday (Nov. 8) before inducing. I really didn't want to be induced - I wanted Chloe to come whenever she and God decided she was ready. But since Monday was as late as I could go, we scheduled the induction for Monday (TOMORROW!!!!). I've been trying to eat different things and walk a lot and do things that will help induce labor naturally...but it just hasn't happened yet. I even spent yesterday afternoon playing tag football and chased a 2-year-old at full speed across a parking lot today! Still, nothing. So, tomorrow, bright and early at 6am, David and I are heading to the hospital to start the process of having our daughter!!! (And as much as I didn't want to induce, the anxiety of waiting is now gone and I'm SO excited for tomorrow!)
All that to say,
MY DAUGHTER IS COMING TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!
